Battle of Endor - You Make The Card - Part 7
by Brian Weeks

From across the starry heavens to the lowest levels of the forest floor, an epic battle rages. Planet side, Imperial scout troopers, rebel commandos, and even the indiginous furry Ewoks fight for dominance and their own survival. Far above, in the cold reaches of space, two Jedi fight to fulfill their destinies. The ultimate battle of good versus evil is about to begin, and this time, YOU are in control.

The first and only time Wizard of the Coast allowed Star Wars TCG players world-wide to help develop a card for the TCG was for the Empire Strikes Back expansion. After seven online polls, Mara Jade (A) was created. In three years and ten WOTC expansions, the TCG fan got to help make one card. The IDC rectified this oversight by allowing you to help create the Equipment card, Thermal Detonator for Scum and Villainy. So, today and in the following weeks, YOU, the loyal TCG player, will again help us create a card for our next expansion, Battle of Endor.

And the winner is...
If you've been following us along our journey each step, you can see that our card is slowly taking shape as you help to make design decisions. First you decided to make a Space Unit card, then decided that it should be affiliated with the Dark side. Then in huge win, you decided that the Space unit you wanted to make would be Fel's TIE Interceptor (A).

Three weeks ago, we asked you to submit your own ideas for what the card rules text should be. Then, the Card Development Committee looked over all of the ideas that were submitted and they selected four card concepts that they felt would work well with the set. You voted and the ability text

Choice D:
Armor
Pay F -> Choose a unit attacking Fel's TIE Interceptor. The attack ends and that unit can't attack Fel's TIE Interceptor until end of turn. Play only when Fel's TIE Interceptor is attacked and only if you have another unit in the Space arena that the unit can attack.

won. Then, last week, we offered four sets of stats for you to vote on. In a very close race, Choice D won.

Choice D:
Build: 5
Speed: 60
Power: 3
Health: 3

For those that are curious, the results from Six were as follows:

You Make The Card - Fel's TIE Interceptor (A)

The Circle is now complete! After seven weeks of voting, you the TCG player has help the IDC develop a card for the upcoming expansion, the Battle of Endor. But before we can show you the final image, it will now go back the Card Development and Playtesting Sub-committees to test the card and make sure its fair and balanced. The stats on the card, may or may not change, depending on the Sub-committees decisions.

Then, sometime within the following weeks, the card image will be revealed to the TCG public. We're very glad that you've joined us for this fun and exciting process.

Join us next week when we reveal the first two preview cards from the new IDC expansion, Battle of Endor.
