Give In to Your Anger
By Trent McCrow

The ultimate battle of good versus evil is underway. Kilometer long vessels battle it out, intense laser fire streaming from their gun positions, while small starfighters swarm all around trying to provide their side with the upper hand. The Rebel fleet is severely outnumbered and has been set up in a trap. The Imperial fleet is in a perfect position to destroy the pesky rebellion once and for all, with their superior numbers and a fully operational Death Star! Looking out his viewport on the space battle that would define the current age of Imperial rule, the ultimate evil, Emperor Palpatine, marvels at his cunning plan. His attention however is not drawn away for too long.

A battle just as epic as that being fought in the cold hard vacuum of space is taking place in his throne-room. Father versus son, evil versus good, corrupt versus pure at heart, the private battle to restore Anakin to the light is waged. Palpatine sees the opportunity to replace his aging disciple with a new and powerful apprentice. He taunts young Skywalker to give into his anger, corrupting the young Jedi. “With each passing moment you make yourself more my servant.” Even the Jedi are corruptible! What hope is there for the Galaxy?

In the third Independent Development Committee (IDC) expansion, Battle of Endor, the fate of the galaxy is in your hands. The ultimate battle of good versus evil is about to begin. Far above, in the cold reaches of space, two Jedi fight to fulfill their destinies and one seeks to corrupt the galaxy with evil. This week I'll introduce you to the tenth card from the Battle of Endor (BOE) dream card expansion set developed by the Independent Development Committee (IDC).

Last week I revealed the first card from the Battle of Endor expansion that featured corruption and this week I will continue expanding on corruption with this week’s preview card, Give in to Your Anger.

This Dark Side Mission is a valuable addition to the corruption theme. Working along the lines of the highly popular and well used Falcon’s Needs, Give in to Your Anger makes good use of the Upkeep ability. This time around however, one of your opponent’s Characters gets to choose between tapping each turn or having a corruption counter placed on it. For the cost of two build, at first glance, this card seems to situational for competitive play as it only affects one arena. But at the moment this card is not restricted from Organized Play and you can run up to four copies in your deck. Give in to Your Anger really shines when run in a deck built around corruption. The big draw back to the new emperor, Palpatine (H), is the fact that he can only place corruption counters on Jedi Characters. With the addition of Give in to Your Anger you can make full use of Emperor Palpatine (H)’s second corruption and can damage not only Jedi Characters but every subtype available in the Character arena! Simply put, with Give in to Your Anger, Emperor Palpatine (H) can corrupt and then damage such powerhouses as Chewbacca (I), Boba Fett (H) as well as all Jedi your opponent can throw at you!

Now that you have seen the power of Corruption available to you in the upcoming IDC expansion, Battle of Endor, I’m certain you can’t wait to get your hands on this awesome set. Soon all your answers will be answered. Will corruption feature in other arenas? Will Luke emerge and fulfill his destiny? Will Vader redeem himself from the corruption of the Dark Side? And will the Rebellion secure freedom from the Galactic Empire securing freedom to the oppressed?

Feel free to discuss all these questions over at Reblebasers.com and keep an eye out for more previews for the Battle of Endor expansion over the coming weeks.
