SCUM AND VILLAINY

'THE ADVENTURE CONTINUES!'

After the fall of WIZARDS OF THE COAST's SWTCG stronghold, dark times fell upon the faithful few that remained, but now they have a shining beacon, the IDC. They won their first victory with FOTR, and the IDC secretly advanced their plans to continue the SWTCG by starting work on their second set, SCUM AND VILLAINY.

The Rebel Alliance's victories over the Empire have brought many new systems to the support of the Rebels while loyalists devote more and more assets and credits to the Empire to rid the galaxy of the Rebel Scum! While the epic struggle for control of the Galaxy wages, a new threat emerges from the shadows.

From the darkest corners of Jabba's Palace to the seediest cantinas in the outer rim the galaxies scum and villainy festers. Bounty Hunters, Spies, Smugglers, Assassins, Crime Lords and Pirates are all for hire. These deadly figures with their highly illegal armament join together with a common goal, galactic dominance. The SCUM AND VILLAINY begin their assault to control the galaxy… and corrupt it!

June 2 2006. This date is highly significant to both IDC members and the loyal SWTCG gamers around the world. This date marked the release of first SWTCG IDC expansion and signifies the birth of a new era, an era when the gamer comes before the customer. The Fall of the Republic set was a smash hit with news of its release spreading around the world. Testimony to the IDC's hard work is the fact that one month after the FOTR release, the IDC website had already had 10.82 gigabytes of transferred data! Once again the Star Wars Trading Card Game was at the forefront of players' minds and new decks and strategies were being formulated to decide who would be the best player of the game. It was this wave of success that determined the IDC would go on to produce a second expansion.

Work began quickly on the Scum and Villainy set, while the final touches to the FOTR set were made. The IDC members were buzzing around and the Card Development Sub-Committee was throwing their best card ideas onto the table for the new set. With a vision to create a set that would satisfy gamers taste for an EU set, the SAV set was a sure way to delight the appetite of the hungry SWTCG gamers. With a vision established and new goals to achieve, the IDC marched quickly towards the first draft list of cards for the SAV set.

For those of you who are playing catch-up, the IDC has been working secretly on the production of their second Dream Card set and have found it hard to contain their excitement of how awesome their work had become. The IDC is split into 5 main departments each tasked with creating the best SWTCG set to date:

Card Development - Responsible for the creation of card text and maintaining the Vision of the current expansion

Rules - Responsible for legalising card text, providing rulings to the SWTCG public and creating the SWTCG Rulebook

Play Testing - Responsible for the play testing of created cards to ensure no 'broken' combo's can be exploited between past cards and new cards in the current expansion

Graphical Design - Responsible for the creation of card images and the production of the online version patches.

Public Affairs - The IDC's liaison to the SWTCG public

The Scum and Villainy expansion is the second produced by the IDC and is set throughout the Star Wars Saga. The SAV set focus' heavily on Expanded Universe materiel from the original trilogy era but also contains a presence from the prequel trilogy. In SAV, players will be able to hire the notorious Boba Fett, enlist the aid of the Rebel Alliance, and employ some of the deadliest weapons from the Star Wars universe, including Zam's Sniper Rifle and the first YMTC, Thermal Detonator!
