IDC Scavenger Hunt - Part 1
by Brian Weeks

We, at the IDC, have been working to come up with new and fun ways to present our preview cards for the next IDC expansion, Clone Wars: Republic At War. We started first with the You Make The Card series, both for Scum and Villainy and the Battle of Endor. Then we revealed the “RAW Mystery” last week, a three card, mixed-up puzzle to be revealed over the three articles. But for the next five weeks, we’re going to try something new…an IDC scavenger hunt.

Basically, the Graphic Design Sub-committee has taken three cards from the upcoming expansion and broken each of them up into six pieces (for a total of eighteen pieces). Each week, for the next six weeks, we will be hiding one piece from each card…somewhere on the IDC website. Each week, we will also provide a clue for each piece as to where it might be hidden. For example, the clue might be: “If this is a consular ship, where is the ambassador?” After some searching, you might discover the hidden card piece in the article “Diplomatic Immunity”. Not every clue will be this straight forward. Some may prove to be a little harder.

Now you may asking “What do I get for all this hard work and research?” Well, how’s this for starters. How about the possibility of receiving the entire set of the Republic At War expansion before it’s release!!! If you correctly guess the Name, Version, Subtype, Side, Stats (build cost, speed, power, health), and ability text of one of the cards, you win. Post your guess(es) in the appropriate Rebelbaser’s topic and the first correct posted guess wins!!!

How do you win, you might ask. Well, for each week that goes by, you have the potential to win cards from the set. Guess one card correctly and you can win:

- Correct guess in Week 1 = win 40 cards before set release
- Correct guess in Week 2 = win 32 cards before set release
- Correct guess in Week 3 = win 24 cards before set release
- Correct guess in Week 4 = win 16 cards before set release
- Correct guess in Week 5 = win 8 cards before set release

So, if you have a correct guess for each one of the three cards, you have the potential to win the full set before it's release. That's 40 cards in week 1 x 3 correct guesses. If you guess all three in week 3 that's 72 cards you receive. If you guess one card in week three that's 24 cards. You don't have to guess all three cards at once. Three different people could win in any given week or one person could win it all. All the cards won will be different so there could be some serious trading going on. Pretty cool!

Here are your first three clues:

Card 1, Clue 1 - Building decks is part of the fun. - Post your guesses here.
Card 2, Clue 1 - Spiderman gets a handful. - Post your guesses here.
Card 3, Clue 1 - Hannibal Lecter might be seen in this vehicle. - Post your guesses here.

We hope you have fun, enjoy our contest and are as excited for the release as we are!
