    State of the IDC Address
By Brian Weeks

My fellow gamers, TCG'rs, Basers, and friends from Australia to Poland to Zimbabwe. . . greetings and salutations.

I come to you today, not in sadness, but in joy. Despite the lack of updates in the past few weeks, be assured, that the IDC is still together, still creating and still keeping OUR game alive. Even as I speak to you today, the Card Development Committee is hard at work developing cards for the next IDC expansion. Some cards have even made it through the Rules Committee already. Expect an official announcement in the coming weeks on the expansion, but until then, let this be a teaser for the next IDC set...

Due to personal reasons, my involvement as of late, has been lacking. Rest assured, the Card Of The Weeks' and the Articles will continue to be produced when I have material. But, since the latest expansion is still under development, new material is hard to come by. This is where you come in. If you have a COTW, a Deck you would like share, card analysis', battle reports...whatever. Click the Email Link at the top and send me your articles. I'll edit it, spell check, grammar, etc. You're providing your idea and thoughts and we're providing the outlet for that information. That's it!

After two years of production, four expansions, 570 player created cards, a fifth expansion in development and discussions about the sets following, the IDC is alive and well (albiet sometimes very busy). We hope you continue to join us here for the latest updates, the latest expansions and the latest discussions of the game we love.

Again...thank you for sticking with us and KEEP THE GAME ALIVE!

He is married, has a four year old son, is an architect, has been the Treasurer and Newsletter Editor for six years for JediOKC (an Oklahoma City based Star Wars Fan Club), was the IDC Card Development Chairperson for Fall of the Republic and is now the IDC Public Affairs Chairperson. Despite all that, he still has time to introduce the game to new players.KEEP THE GAME ALIVE!
