With
the impending release of the next IDC expansion, Invasion
of Naboo, the delay in it's release and the fact that the planned
articles for Public Affairs have run out and over our previous schedule,
the IDC will now be previewing one card a week until the expansions
release. As many of you know, I'm a huge fan of the Diplomat deck,
in particular, the Han/Leia deck. This weeks preview card, Senatorial
Shuttle is sure to boost the Diplomat deck back into the limelight.

Upon first glance, the Senatorial Shuttle
looks to be just another utility Space unit. And at 3/20/1/3, it's
not that impressive of a unit. But what really makes this unit stand
out is it's subtype and it's ability text. It's text reads "Retreat
this unit -> Prevent up to 2 damage to one of your other Diplomats."
and it's subtype is a Diplomat Transport. The ability alone makes
it a great card and a great addition to the numerous Diplomat damage
prevention cards available (Preservation
of Democracy, Han
Solo (G), Padme
Amidala (H)).
Be sure to take a look at some of the past
Diplomat deck styles (such as my Skywlkr's
Deck Vault #2 article) and event get some more ideas from my
COTW
Princess Leia (M). There are so many options available to Diplomat
fans with this card, that I'll be deckbuilding for a while. So check
out the past Diplomat cards and get your own ideas.
