Battle of Hoth Scavenger Hunt - Part 5
by Brian Weeks

We, at the IDC, have been working to come up with new and fun ways to present our preview cards for new IDC expansions. One of the more popular methods, the Scavenger Hunt, was first tried on the Clone Wars: Republic At War expansion. And, for the next five weeks, we're going to try it again for the Battle of Hoth expansion.

Basically, the Graphic Design Sub-committee has taken three cards from the upcoming expansion and broken each of them up into five pieces (for a total of fifteen pieces). Each week, for the next five weeks, we will be hiding one piece from each card…somewhere on the IDC website. Each week, we will also provide a clue for each piece as to where it might be hidden. For example, the clue might be: “If this is a consular ship, where is the ambassador?” After some searching, you might discover the hidden card piece in the article “Diplomatic Immunity”. Not every clue will be this straight forward. Some may prove to be a little harder.

Now you may asking “What do I get for all this hard work and research?” Well, we're currently working on the prize support for this contest, but we will update you on a decission as soon as we decide on a prize.

Here is your fith (and last) set of three clues:

Card 1, Clue 5 - "Insectoids have an advantage over bipeds." - Post your guesses here.
Card 2, Clue 5 - "What is a Pirates favourite letter? R? No it is X, because that is where the treasure is!"- Post your guesses here.
Card 3, Clue 5 - "Re-creating the Star Wars universe"- Post your guesses here.

After playing the demo game and introducing it to RedneckJedi and Darthwalls, Team 'Dude Where's My Card' was created. He competed in three qualifiers, yet the closest he ever ranked was eighth. He is married, has a six year old son, is an architect, has been the Treasurer and Newsletter Editor for eight years for JediOKC (an Oklahoma City based Star Wars Fan Club), was the IDC Card Development Chairperson for Fall of the Republic and is now the IDC Public Affairs Chairperson. Despite all that, he still has time to introduce the game to new players…KEEP THE GAME ALIVE!
