Enhanced Programming
By Brian Weeks

Friday, November 19th, 2010

With this weeks preview card, Bounty Hunter Arsenal, comes new strategies for Equipment card use. And one older Equipment card that can take advantage of Bounty Hunter Arsenal is Enhanced Programming.

Enhanced Programming's costs 1 Build and its text reads:
"Discard a card from your hand -> Equip
Equipped Droid gets +1 power and Accuracy 1.
Equipped Droid may only have one Enhanced Programming attached to it."

When using Bounty Hunter Arsenal, you're able to search for an Equipment card and put it in your Build zone with 1 Build counter on it. Search for Enhanced Programming. Then play it on IG-88 (A) for a 6 power, Accuracy 2 and Critical Hit 2. And if you add 1 counter to Bounty Hunter Arsenal, IG-88 (A) will then have Accuracy 3!

There's sure to be many other new combos discovered with the new card, Bounty Hunter Arsenal, especially if another IG-88 or other Droid Bounty Hunters are created.

Ord Mantell System
By Brian Weeks

Friday, November 12th, 2010

The Star Wars Trading Card Game (SWTCG) has over 2000 cards within the game. With the help of the Independent Development Committee (IDC) that number keeps on going up. With so many cards making so many combos it is sometimes hard to pick a card to feature because there are so many great cards in the SWTCG.

But, with the upcoming release of Legacy of the Force: Bounty Hunters, it becomes easier to narrow down my possible choices of cards to talk about. So with the new expansion in mind, today's Card of the Week is the Ord Mantell System.

Ord Mantell System grants the ability: "Each of your Bounty Hunters costs 1 fewer build counter to deploy."

This card by itself is not a game changer, but if you combine it with other build reducing cards, it can be a great advantage. Cards such as Darth Vader (M) or C-3PO (C) can grant additional build reduction to your Neutral Bounty Hunters.

There are additional cards that aid the new Bounty Hunter units, but we'll be covering more of those in the weeks to come before the release of the new expansion.
