  July 27th, 2012 - Mando Primer

This week has been Mandalorian week on our website, and we have been showing off some of the redesigned cards from LOTF: Mandalorians. We addressed 22 of the 75 cards from the set, for reasons that varied from the cards being too weak, overly complicated, not working the way they were intended, or just plain broken.

Garritt Pruim discusses the decisions around the Mandolarian redesign. HERE

  July 20th, 2012 - Sith Primer

A few weeks ago, the IDC announced the Redesign Project. The first set that will be re-released is our latest expansion Legacy of the Force: Sith. The biggest complaint against the Sith set was that a few cards, including some truly iconic characters, were weaker than they needed to be.

Garritt Pruim discusses the decisions around the Sith redesign. HERE

  May 6th, 2012 - Separating The Clones

Today we have something that the IDC hasn’t done in some time: a Battle Report, today featuring IDC members Ben Doyle (RAV3N) and Kacper Golba (obi-wan4), two long-time players who will be presenting a match between their Clone and Separatist decks. HERE

April 23rd, 2012 - Hanging Up The Wings

The IDC recently announced the Redesign Project, something we have been working on for some time. The goal of the redesign is to rebalance a number of cards that managed to slip through the cracks, so to speak. One happy side effect of the Project is that we will be able to ‘reset’ the banned list, as the IDC cards that found themselves on the list will have been fixed.

Ben Doyle discusses the recent addition to the Banned list. HERE

  April 19th, 2012 - Redesign Project Primer

As some of you may know, we are currently working on what we call the Redesign Project. The Redesign Project is taking an unbiased look at each of our sets and trying to make the sets more fun, more flavorful, less confusing and most of all, more balanced.

Garritt Pruim discusses the current Redesign Project. HERE

  April 12th, 2012 - Birds of Prey

It’s hard to believe that it’s been 10 years since this game was first released, and that it’s gone from a measly 180 cards to well over 2,000. The upside of having so many cards is the great variety that can be found when deckbuilding; the downside is that for every card that gets put into a deck, there are a dozen others that, rightly or wrongly, are left by the wayside. However, even the worst of these cards is often only one combo away from moving up from unplayable to nasty.

Ben Doyle demonstrates how even a weak card can be made a killer with the right supporting deck. HERE

  November 22nd, 2011 - Resource Card Tutorial

Some players may not fully understand how the Resource card works. I would like to help everyone be able to benefit from Resource cards and use them to their fullest potential. For those already familiar with Resource cards, stick around for some pointers.

Corjay shares some insight on how to play Resource cards. . HERE

  September 30th, 2011 - Caedus's Misdirection

The Legacy of the Force: Sith set was released two weeks ago and you have likely had time to play a few games with the new cards. I hope everyone has enjoyed the set because it was over a year in the making and underwent a couple of major overhauls along the way.

Garritt analyzes one of the new cards from the new Sith expansion. . . HERE

  September 22nd, 2011 -Stealth—er—Sith Rulebook Updates

Do a Graphic Condensed Sith Rulebook? What are you nuts??? Sheesh. That takes a lot of work. No, I’m not doing that again for a while. Well, actually I am, just not with the Condensed Rulebook. More on that at a later date.

C.J. updates the rulebook and tells you about some important information. . . HERE

  September 22nd, 2011 - Retrofitting Equipment

Sometimes you miss an opportunity to make something the best that it can be. Whether through your own mistake, someone else’s mistake, bad timing or the erroneous choice of a committee, a grand opportunity just slips through your fingers. This was the situation with a certain idea I had regarding Equipment.

C.J. discusses Equipment with you. . . HERE

  September 16th, 2011 - Equipment Tutorial

There are many new players to the game that have begun playing recently and many old players returning who don’t know how Equipment works or who simply never quite got it, especially with the recent changes. I would like to help everyone be able to benefit from Equipment the right way and to its fullest. For those already familiar with Equipment, stick around for some pointers.

C.J. gives players, both old and new, some advice on how to use Equipment to your advantage. . . HERE

  September 9th, 2011 - A Newbs Guide To Star Wars TCG - Part 2

This time around we will be looking at the Missions available to the LS deck builder. Light Side Missions typically gain you Force, draw you cards, search for cards, remove damage counters, deal damage and win you the game without rolling any dice.

Garritt shares some insight on gameplay with new TCG players. . . HERE
